Slokas (1 -7) - The two fold path

There is two-fold path to know " Who am I ? ". This is called in sanskrit as " Nistha"

Nistha:

  1. Sankya yoga ( The Path of Wisdom) - Self Control, Knowledge. - Vinayaga Style - Inner Journey

  2. Karma yoga ( The Path of Action ) - Action, Love. - Muruga Style - Outer Journey

***Paths are different; but goal is same i.e. Goal = Truth [Existence] + Consciousness [knowledge] + Bliss [Eternal Happiness]



Sloka (8 -16) - Yagna Spirit

Every human being should know about their duties in life and several question arises in our mind, few are listed below.

1. Types is Duty i.e. with Yagna spirit - Service minded)

  1. Pithru ( Parents related services)

  2. Deva (Demi-Gods - Temple related services)

  3. Rishi ( Jana - Knowledge - Learning related services)

  4. Manusa ( Human- Beings - Fashion, Food, Flat, Intelligence)

  5. Bhutha ( Environmental - Earth, Water, Air, Space, Fire)

2. Types of Actions i.e. Karma

  1. Nitya- Daily common actions for Good Health i.e. Sleeping, Eating & Speaking {OPM} as per CMMI model

  2. Nai-mitya - Special actions for Good Wealth i.e. Individual duties [PMP]

  3. Kamya - Desired actions i.e. Desire is the cause of all miseries - Buddha

  4. Nisadtha - Bad/Evil actions as mention below

  5. Parihara - Problem solving actions i.e. Stop / Reduce / Awareness

Bad/Evil actions:

7 Deadly Sins from Holy Bible:

  1. Wrath = uncontrollable feelings of anger and hate towards another person

  2. Sloth = excessive laziness or the failure to act and utilize one’s talents

  3. Pride = excessive view of one's self without regard to others.

  4. Lust = an uncontrollable passion or longing, especially for sexual desires

  5. Greed or Avarice = an excessive pursuit of material possessions

  6. Gluttony = excessive ongoing consumption of food or drink

  7. Envy = the desire to have an item or experience that someone else possesses

5 Big Evil actions from Hindu Mythology:

  1. Killing Great people i.e. MAN >>> GOD

  2. Drinking alcohol or drugs

  3. Stealing gold i.e. Other's wealth

  4. Sex with wife of others i.e. illegal Affair without shame / Enjoying Authority without taking the whole Responsibility.

  5. Association with these sinners i.e. Dur-sanga

17 Major sins or 8 actions that leads to sins from Holy Quran:

Major Sins:

  1. Shirk (associating anything with Allah) i.e. GOD is Nameless, Formless, - Nirguna upasana

  2. Not having faith of Allah's mercy

  3. Disobeying parents

  4. Zina (adultery)

  5. Sodomy i.e. Sex is only for reproductive; not for flesh pleasures

  6. Theft

  7. Drinking alcoholic beverage

  8. Gambling

  9. Backbiting (saying bad things about a person who is not there)

  10. Leaving daily prayer [OPM]

  11. Zakat evasion - Skipping to do duties using intelligence

  12. Witchcraft i.e. Not using powers for harming self or world.

  13. Killing one whom Allah has declared inviolate without a just case i.e. Great Soul - Maha-Atma

  14. Consuming the property of an orphan

  15. Devouring usury i.e. Giving or Taking Money loans

  16. Turning back when the army advances

  17. False accusation of chaste women who are believers but indiscreet i.e. No show-off

8 Actions leads to sins:

  1. Egotism – root of sins (first sin in the Quran by shaytan)

  2. Obscenity [1] i.e. Immoral

  3. Not controlling the tongue – A huge amount of the sins are from the tongue.[2] It involves backbiting, slandering, lying, obscenity, foul language, insulting, etc.

  4. Alcoholism and intoxication. – mother of evil. Handiwork of Devil. Al-Quran, 5:90

  5. Gambling – Handiwork of Devil. Al-Quran, 5:90

  6. Dedication of stones - Blind belief systems – Handiwork of Devil. Al-Quran, 5:90

  7. Divination of arrows –Blind belief systems - Handiwork of Devil. Al-Quran, 5:90

  8. Love of this world i.e. Material things, which is bound to change [Mitya/Maya/Matrix]

*** Every human being has to acknowledge this Creation cycle as mention below my dear friend. The one who is not support this life cycle will whirls in sense pleasures i.e. seeing, tasting, smelling, hearing & touching and lives in hell irresponsibly.


(17 -20) Slokas - Path of Wise i.e. Researchers class

0.Content in self

  1. Derives Happiness from self alone i.e. Yekantham

  2. Freed of Duties

  3. No attachment to the result of actions

  4. Success and failures is same i.e. Titiksha

  5. Self-Motivated i.e. No purpose for actions

  6. This is the way wise realizes the GOD

  • example: Mahatma Gandhi & Swami Vivekananda, Albert Eisenstein, sir. Isaac Newton, Madam Query, Mother Teresa & other world leaders

(21 -29) Slokas - Leadership Skills i.e. Labors, Business & management class

  1. Whatever great men does world follows

  2. Whatever standards (protocols) they set world persues

  3. GOD as a Leader - Free from all duties ; but work 24/7 i.e. Role Model

  4. If GOD fails to do action with unconditional & infinite love, people will follow GOD's foot steps & act like that

  5. If GOD did not do its duties, then infinite problems will cause in its creation

  6. Ignorant >>> Attach to Result of Action; Knowledgeable[wise] >>>Unattached to results of actions &only work for universal welfare

  7. Wise is responsible for making the ignorant to act to their maturity & capabilities

  8. Wise should not confuse & frightened the ignorant

  9. Wise must make delight in the ignorant Activities & uplift them from their CMMi level

  10. It is the nature's characters {guna's - Inaction, Balanced, Action}, which is performing all actions

  11. The one who sees the body in the false ego [I] imagines "I am the doer"

  12. The one who see Nature as the cause of all actions, is freed from all actions

  13. The one who are influenced by the sense & remain attached to sense objects & material things in this world is called ignorant soul. The Wise soul [Mahatma] should not try to influence such ignorant souls.

  • Wise - Maha-Atma - Great Soul - Moving towards MAN >>> GOD

  • Ignorant - Alpa-Atma - Ignorant Soul - Moving towards Animal >>> MAN

(30 -35) Slokas - The glory of Sudharma i.e. Individual Duty based on CMMi Model

***Truth: Life is full of problems i.e. WAR

  1. In Life all problems are because of mental fevers i.e. Desire, Anger, Greed, Lust, Jealous

  2. Solution for all mental fever is surrender to GOD i.e. knowledge of SELF

  3. The one who practices, this with full faith without envy will be free from all bondage's i.e. Practice makes perfect -Knowledge/Basic >>>wise/Applied

  4. The one who do not follow mother nature's intelligence [rules] out of jealous or delusion will not get attach to self knowledge for entire life

  5. GOD >>> Creation [World] >>> Sense Objects >>> Senses >>> Ignorance >>> Impressions[Vasanas] >>> Attachments >>> Desires >>> Actions [Good/Bad] >>> bondage's {Virtue/sin] >>> Success/failure >>> Greed / Anger, Lust, Jealous >>> Repeated Actions >>> Pleasures /pains >>> Vicious cycle of living between Heaven & Hell eternally - So our first line of enemy is our senses. i.e. Seeing, Hearing, Smelling, Tasting & Touching

  6. So Do your own duty i.e. According to your time, place & CMMi . However small or stupid it is, do it. Never ever imitate other's duties - In all ways remember - My Duty is not your duties - Each is great in their own place.


(36 - 43) Slokas - Reason for not giving away from su-dharma. i.e. Everyone's Individual Duty

  1. Why Intelligent beings are doing Bad/Evil actions, though they know that, it will be harmful to self as well as others? i.e. Smoking, Drinking...

  • Answer - Uncontrolled Desires i.e. Lust

  1. GOD >>> Soul >>> Ignorance covered >>> Impressions [vasanas] >>> Senses >>> Attachment >>> Desires >>> not Satisfied >>> Anger >>> Lust

  2. Three types of covers i.e. Ignorant souls

  • TYPE1: Like Smoke covers fire i.e. It will take one small initiation process to remove ignorance from that class of soul

  • TYPE2: Like Dust covers mirror i.e. it will take one life time effort to remove ignorance from that class of soul

  • TYPE3: Like Womb covers fetus i.e. it will take many life's time of efforts to remove ignorance from that class of soul

Chapter 3: Karma-yoga

TEXT 1

arjuna uvaca jyayasi cet karmanas te mata buddhir janardana tat kim karmani ghore mam niyojayasi kesava

SYNONYMS

arjunah—Arjuna; uvaca—said; jyayasi—speaking very highly; cet—although; karmanah—than fruitive action; te—your; mata—opinion; buddhih—intelligence; janardana—O Krsna; tat—therefore; kim—why; karmani—in action; ghore—ghastly; mam—me; niyojayasi—engaging me; kesava—O Krsna.


TRANSLATION

Arjuna said: O Janardana, O Kesava, why do You urge me to engage in this ghastly warfare, if You think that intelligence is better than fruitive work?


TEXT 2

vyamisreneva vakyena buddhim mohayasiva me tad ekam vada niscitya yena sreyo 'ham apnuyam

SYNONYMS

vyamisrena—by equivocal; iva—as; vakyena—words; buddhim—intelligence; mohayasi—bewildering; iva—as; me—my; tat—therefore; ekam—only one; vada—please tell; niscitya—ascertaining; yena—by which; sreyah—real benefit; aham—I; apnuyam—may have it.


TRANSLATION

My intelligence is bewildered by Your equivocal instructions. Therefore, please tell me decisively what is most beneficial for me.


TEXT 3

sri-bhagavan uvaca loke 'smin dvi-vidha nistha pura prokta mayanagha jnana-yogena sankhyanam karma-yogena yoginam

SYNONYMS

sri bhagavan uvaca—the Supreme Personality of Godhead said; loke—in the world; asmin—this; dvi-vidha—two kinds of; nistha—faith; pura—formerly; prokta—was said; maya—by Me; anagha—O sinless one; jnana-yogena—by the linking process of knowledge; sankhyanam—of the empiric philosophers; karma-yogena—by the linking process of devotion; yoginam—of the devotees.


TRANSLATION

The Blessed Lord said: O sinless Arjuna, I have already explained that there are two classes of men who realize the Self. Some are inclined to understand Him by empirical, philosophical speculation, and others are inclined to know Him by devotional work.


TEXT 4

na karmanam anarambhan naiskarmyam puruso 'snute na ca sannyasanad eva siddhim samadhigacchati

SYNONYMS

na—without; karmanam—of the prescribed duties; anarambhat—non-performance; naiskarmyam—freedom from reaction; purusah—man; asnute—achieve; na—nor; ca—also; sannyasanat—by renunciation; eva—simply; siddhim—success; samadhigacchati—attain.

TRANSLATION

Not by merely abstaining from work can one achieve freedom from reaction, nor by renunciation alone can one attain perfection.


TEXT 5

na hi kascit ksanam api jatu tisthaty akarma-krt karyate hy avasah karma sarvah prakrti-jair gunaih

SYNONYMS

na—nor; hi—certainly; kascit—anyone; ksanam—even a moment; api—also; jatu—even; tisthati—stands; akarma-krt—without doing something; karyate—is forced to do; hi—certainly; avasah—helplessly; karma—work; sarvah—everything; prakrti-jaih—out of the modes of material nature; gunaih—by the qualities.

TRANSLATION

All men are forced to act helplessly according to the impulses born of the modes of material nature; therefore no one can refrain from doing something, not even for a moment.


TEXT 6

karmendriyani samyamya ya aste manasa smaran indriyarthan vimudhatma mithyacarah sa ucyate

SYNONYMS

karma-indriyani—the five working sense organs; samyamya—controlling; yah—anyone who; aste—remains; manasa—by mind; smaran—thinking; indriya-arthan—sense objects; vimudha—foolish; atma—soul; mithya-acarah—pretender; sah—he; ucyate—is called.

TRANSLATION

One who restrains the senses and organs of action, but whose mind dwells on sense objects, certainly deludes himself and is called a pretender.


TEXT 7

yas tv indriyani manasa niyamyarabhate 'rjuna karmendriyaih karma-yogam asaktah sa visisyate

SYNONYMS

yah—one who; tu—but; indriyani—senses; manasa—by the mind; niyamya—regulating; arabhate—begins; arjuna—O Arjuna; karma-indriyaih—by the active sense organs; karma-yogam—devotion; asaktah—without attachment; sah—he; visisyate—by far the better.

TRANSLATION

On the other hand, he who controls the senses by the mind and engages his active organs in works of devotion, without attachment, is by far superior.


TEXT 8

niyatam kuru karma tvam karma jyayo hy akarmanah sarira-yatrapi ca te na prasiddhyed akarmanah

SYNONYMS

niyatam—prescribed; kuru—do; karma—duties; tvam—you; karma—work; jyayah—better; hi—than; akarmanah—without work; sarira—bodily; yatra—maintenance; api—even; ca—also; te—your; na—never; prasiddhyet—effected; akarmanah—without work.

TRANSLATION

Perform your prescribed duty, for action is better than inaction. A man cannot even maintain his physical body without work.

It is a Applied Research science of daily common actions[OPM] to discover our ignorance of soul by non-attached actions for universal welfare i.e. ai _R&D
